  • Aleksandre Asatiani is new senior lecturer in informatics

    [19 Sep 2019] Aleksandre Asatiani is new senior lecturer at the Division of Informatics, Department of Applied IT. He was born in Russia, grew up in Georgia, lived over twelve years in Finland, two years in England and now recently moved to Sweden. He speaks four languages and finally got his bike shipped to Gothenburg from Birmingham, so that he can explore the city. He currently lives in Askim and is now preparing to learn Swedish.

  • Research project - A future with "social drones"

    [12 Sep 2019] Drones are expected to become an increasingly common tool in our everyday lives. In a new project, researchers from the Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering will be investigating how social drones are best used and regulated in order to benefit individuals and society as a whole.

  • Project to improve unmanned aerial vehicles

    [9 Sep 2019] Autonomous cyber-physical systems (ACPS) consist of smart and collaborative computational entities, interacting with physical components to accomplish tasks in unpredictable environments. They are emerging from rapid advancements in research areas like data acquisition, machine learning, embedded systems and formal methods, and have countless areas of use.

  • Sustainability and humanity in focus at C&SE Hackathon 2019

    [14 Aug 2019] Between May 10 - 12 our students participated in the Computer & Software Engineering (C&SE) Hackathon 2019. A total of 33 students from various programs, such as Software Engineering and Management, Computer Science, Applied Data Science got together in teams to work together with organizations such as Ericsson, OpenHack and Västtrafik to develop solutions under the themes of "sustainable and smart cities" and "coding for humanity".

    [14 Jun 2019] The IT Faculty Spring Ceremony for all programme students who are finishing their studies during the spring semester 2019 took place - as usual - in the beautiful University Assembly Hall.
