    [23 Apr 2020] Professor Moshe Y. Vardi, Rice University Texas, has been appointed honorary doctor at the IT Faculty for 2020.

  • Ocean data and AI to tackle climate change and invasive species

    [22 Apr 2020] The Ocean Data Factory (ODF) project wants to enable Sweden to be one of the leaders in using ocean relevant data and integrating AI into the understanding and analyzing of data. Yixin Zhang from the Department of Applied IT leads the continuous evaluation and innovation package within the project.

    [19 Mar 2020] Jonas Ivarsson is a new professor of informatics from 19 March, 2020. Jonas has a background in cognitive science and was between 2013 and 2019 professor of pedagogy at the University of Gothenburg, In 2019 he switched to the Department of Applied IT and the research area informatics.

  • Wanted: examples of blockchain in government

    [2 Mar 2020] The OECD is working with a blockchain expert on research on the uncertain promise of blockchain for government. As part of the research, we are interested in collecting public sector experiences on 1) successful government blockchain projects that have moved to the implementation phase and have users; 2) interesting government blockchain projects that will be implemented in the near future; and 3) stories and lessons learned from projects that did not reach the implementation phase or gain users.
